As one of the leaders in the Hungarian market for animal feed production, we offer products and services through the Purina® brand and Cargill® brand.

To serve our customers, we produce our feeds at two locations, Karcag and Kaposvár.
Karcag
In Karcag are located a feed plant (completely renovated with new Van Aarsen technology in 1999) and a premix facility (2000).
Karcag is also the home of our officially accredited lab as well as the country headquarters of our animal nutrition business in Hungary.
Kaposvár
The Kaposvár plant opened in October 1997. In 2007 the capacity of this feedmill was doubled. Just like in our Karcag facility, the design and technology are from Van Aarsen.
World-class production
Today, in both feed mills computer operated, world class production systems ensure the reliable, stable quality of the feed produced and the traceability of materials used. Mashed, pelleted or crumbled products are supplied in different sized bags on pallets, in big-bags or in bulk. The premix plant is able to fulfill the needs of customers with tailor-made individually designed products in small quantities.
Quality assurance
Quality assurance is an important issue for Cargill’s animal nutrition business. The company continuously invests in new technology. It was among the first in Hungary to implement ISO 9001:2008, HACCP and GGE standards, which are audited and certified yearly. These certifications are guarantees of strict and continuous control for the benefit of our consumers’ health protection.
Global research
Cargill Animal Nutrition has a global network of research labs and innovative technologies (like REVEAL®), which provide analytical, accurate and prompt solutions. The Elk River Innovation Center in Minneapolis, (USA) is the main technology centre for Cargill’s global animal nutrition business. It coordinates the research lab network around the world and manages the special research projects, with the collaboration of the most prestigious universities.
Farm Consulting Services
Our well trained specialists are committed to developing solutions that help our customers succeed. They do this with a focus on giving the optimum solutions for farm management, efficient production and best possible financial results for our customers.
Our specialists are equipped with leading edge applications, formulating feeds based on the specific farm conditions (animal genetics, health status, on farm feed availability and quality) and the desired production levels (milk quality and quantity, daily gain, meat quality)
PURINA® dealer network
To serve the small farms and the back-yard animal husbandry a nationwide PURINA dealer network has been developed. In addition to modern new red Purina Farm stores (over one hundred) and one thousand and four hundred smaller shops, mobile distribution (close to one hundred trucks) is covering almost each town and village in Hungary with PURINA animal feed products and services.
